RGV Vipers
#1: Daishen Nix: Drove and made a precise pass out to Trevelin Queen, who was on the corner (11:12 3RD QTR), drove into traffic and couldn’t finish on Hankins (8:45 3RD QTR), took advantage of Birmingham failing to gather in transition and finished around the rim with a finger roll (6:42 3RD QTR), ran a quick pick-and-roll with Mfiondu Kabenegele late in the shot clock, turned his body to make the defense think he was throwing it to the roller only to go right and dump it to Anthony Lamb, who was in the dunker spot (5:46 4TH QTR), utilizing a Kabengele screen, Nix slows down with LaChance on his back, works right and finishes a righty layup with Anigbogu not sliding his feet over (2:40 4TH QTR).

#17: Marcus Foster: Didn’t get in the position to receive a drive-and-kick dish from Queen (11:09 3RD QTR), settled for a contested corner 3 with 16 seconds left and a teammate stationed on the wing (5:10 3RD QTR), working in a pick-and-roll with Kabengele on the wing, he did a good job of drawing the defensive pressure enough to slip it out to the roll man (3:33, 3:02 3RD QTR), rejected a screen and hit a step-back 3 right in the face of Riley LaChance (2:33 3RD QTR), used dribble moves to get around two defenders in transition and was able to make a strong finish around the rim (1:52 3RD QTR), made the brilliant decision to cut to the paint when Anthony Lamb was coming down with the rebound, retrieved the pass, and finished with his right (11:26 4TH QTR).

#21: Trevelin Queen: Moved his feet and made a great help-side block to block Ra’Shad James (11:40 3RD QTR), did a great job of moving his feet and keeping his balance to stay in front of John Petty (11:23 3RD QTR), uses quick hands the force the ball out of John Petty’s hands. After getting the ball back, he throws a BEAUTIFUL pass that lands in Daishen Nix’s hands despite a miniscule window (10:10 3RD QTR), goes low and uses slick handles to use screen to get around John Petty and move past the drop defender (Zach Hankins) (9:17 3RD QTR), used Kabengele screen to hit an above-the-break 3 (8:20 3RD QTR), sas a drop defender, he did a good job of shutting down a driving Petty with a block around the rim (5:26 3RD QTR), did the side-pick-and-roll with Kabengele, which ultimately led in Mfiondu drawing a foul on his drive to the rim (11:48 4TH QTR), hit a catch-and-shoot 3 (8:27, 7:50 4TH QTR), made a strong cut along the baseline, and then quickly dished it out to Tyler Bey, who was cutting towards the restricted area from the center of the court (6:30 4TH QTR), good job of moving off-ball, getting into the dunker spot, and finishing at the rim after receiving a pass from Daishen Nix (5:47 4TH QTR).

#34: Anthony Lamb: Bit on a Darius Adams pump fake that let the guard drive past (4:05 3RD QTR), had the ball punched out by Darius Adams while pushing in transition, who was running from behind (4:00 3RD QTR), snagged an offensive rebound and quickly found a cutting Marcus Foster (11:26 4TH QTR), did a good job defending Darius Adams, stopping him from driving, and then closing out on Riley LaChance (10:59 4TH QTR). good closeout on Zylan Cheatham and might have gotten his hand on the ball that forced it to go short (10:27 4TH QTR), on the perimeter, he switched onto Joe Young, used his strength to prevent him from getting into the restricted area, and blocked his shot attempt (8:10 4TH QTR), applied great ball pressure on Darius Adams on the perimeter, got on his hip to stop a drive, and forced his man to pass into traffic (7:02 4TH QTR).
#25: Mfiondu Kabengele: Set a good screen that set up an off-the-dribble above-the-break 3 from Trevelin Queen (8:20 3RD QTR), used verticality to stop a Darius Adams drive (4:05 3rd QTR), great job as a roll man with Marcus Foster, rolled at the perfect pace, caught it and finished with a two-handed flush (3:33, 3:02 3RD QTR).
#30: Tyler Bey: Slid his feet and used verticality to stop a drive from Darius Adams (5:52 3RD QTR). hit catch-and-shoot 3 from above the break (7:28 4TH QTR), stuck with Justin Wright-Foreman from perimeter to paint and then got his hand on a layup attempt (7:13 4TH QTR), attacked a closeout with his right hand, took a side step to the left to get around the help defender, and finished with his right despite having to finish through contact by Zylan Cheatham (6:53 4TH QTR).
#14: Gerald Green: Nailed a pull-up 3 in transition (5:49 3RD QTR), did a good job of switching onto Anigbogu and defending him on his drive to the rim (1:07 3RD QTR), working off a running dribble handoff with Mfiondu Kabengele, he drove with his right and bursted towards the paint. While he wasn’t able to finish, he drew a foul (9:51 4TH QTR), working near the baseline, he draw the attention of three Squadron defenders and kicked a crosscourt pass out to an open Trevelin Queen (8:30 4TH QTR).
#3: Christian Vital: Came out of the perimeter to snag an offensive rebound off the Nix shot and then quickly went up with the putback (4:45 3RD QTR), great perimeter defense to stop both Darius Adams and Ra’Shad James from getting anything they wanted. Ended up forcing a pass into traffic with little time left on shot clock (5:20 4TH QTR).
Birmingham
#9: Ra'Shad James: Able to use a Hankins screen to get past his defender (Anthony Lamb) and drive past Kabengele. Was blocked at the rim by Queen (11:40 3RD QTR), forces a foul on a drive towards the paint on Trevelin Queen (9:30 3RD QTR), good switch onto Anthony Lamb, stuck with him even when he was backing down, and forced him to dump it out to the perimeter (6:13 3RD QTR), nailed a catch-and-shoot corner 3 (3:50 4TH QTR).
#27: Joe Young: Uses a side screen from Hankins to create separation from the perimeter defender and hit a mid-range J before Trevelin Queen is able to recover (10:00 3RD QTR), used Hankins screen and rescreen to trap his defender and set up a long mid-range J (8:05 3RD QTR), lazy closeout on Marcus Foster that led to the guard’s successful drive to the rim (7:34 3RD QTR), nailed a pair of catch-and-shoot 3’s (3:46, 2:49 3RD QTR), working in the pick-and-roll with Zach Hankins, he delivered a nice over-the-head feed to the roll man (10:03 4TH QTR), applied good ball pressure on Joe Young near mid-court, stuck with him on the drive, and pushed him to throw an errant pass out to the wing (7:39 4TH QTR).
#23: John Petty: Nailed catch-and-shoot 3 (6:51 3RD QTR), made Nix reach with a behind-the-back dribble, got to his spot, and hit a 3 (6:28 3RD QTR), was stopped at the rim by Anthony Lamb. However, was able to recover the ball and hold onto it, and dish it off to Riley LaChance (5:25 3RD QTR), working on the edge of the paint, he slides his feet to intercept a bounce pass from Gerald Green intended for Kabengele (3:09 4TH QTR).
#45: Zylan Cheatham: Got his hand out in the passing lane which led to the ball hitting the corner shooter’s hand and then forcing a turnover (7:54 3RD QTR), moved towards the FT line, retrieved a pass from Joe Young, and threw in a righty floater (8:44 4TH QTR), snagged an offensive rebound and quickly dumped it back out (3:20 4TH QTR).
#35: Zach Hankins: Quickly took advantage of a mismatch against Trevelin Queen to score on a hook shot (9:08 3RD QTR), used verticality to stop Daishen Nix (8:45 3RD QTR), set good screen on shooter (8:05 3RD QTR), hit a righty floater after retrieving a pass from Joe Young (10:03 4TH QTR).

#6: Darius Adams: Drove along the right lane, adjusted his body to get a clear look at the shooter, and kicked it out to John Petty who was standing on the left wing of the court (6:51 3RD QTR), used hang dribble to get past Daishen Nix, had a clear path but wasn’t able to finish when defender slides his feet and used his verticality (5:57 3RD QTR), Came from nowhere and punched the ball out of the hand of ANthony Lamb who was pushing it down the floor in transition. Forced the turnover (4:00 3RD QTR), through the help of misdirection from Birmingham’s offense (Anigbogu dropping to the paint and Joe Young moving left, Adams was able to go right, get to his spot and nail a mid-range J (3:18 3RD QTR), made a good drive-and-dish move that helped set up a corner 3 (2:51 3RD QTR), great high pick-and-roll action with Ike Anigbogu where he drew the roll defender and adjusted his body in mid-air to deliver the pass to Ike (1:34 3RD QTR), used a strong crossover to get around Vital, slash to the rim, and slashed to the rim. Wasn’t able to finish through Lamb being in the way (:02 3RD QTR), nailed a DHO 3 on the wing while being hit by Tyler Bey (2:58 4TH QTR).

#3: Riley Lachance: Did a good job of getting in position to be ready to catch a pass from a pressured John Petty, and then put in a floater on the right baseline (5:25 3RD QTR), good job quickly moving the ball around the perimeter to the corner shooter (2:48 3RD QTR).
#0: Ike Anigbogu: Did a good job of switching onto Daishen Nix, sliding his feet to stop an attempted drive, and make them throw up a contented perimeter jumper (4:48 3RD QTR), boxed out on Anthony Lamb, used both hands to fight to get the board and then scoring with a hook shot (:36 3RD QTR).
#22: Justin Wright-Foreman: Made a strong left-handed drive on Marcus Foster, drew contact, adjusted his body and made a tough floater by the baseline (:52 3RD QTR), made a nice skip pass in transition to the corner shooter. The shooter didn’t make it but was still a good feed (:39 3RD QTR), after some perimeter motion at the start of possession, he threw a MARVELOUS pass that landed safely in the hands of Riley LaChance (11:35 4TH QTR).
