Welcome to The Call-Up
Dakota Schmidt's The Call-Up will look to bring coverage of the NBA G League and the world of basketball as a whole.
After years of writing about the NBA G League at SBNation’s Ridiculous Upside, it was time for me to change things. This is the change that is needed.
If you want coverage of the NBA G League from the perspective of film study and player breakdown, this is the place. If you want to read in-depth interviews with some of the most notable names in the NBA G League from players, coaches, executives, and more folks that are impacting the league, you’re in the right place. If you want position tier lists based on two-way or standard prospects, then by goodness the Call-Up is for you!
While I have spent years making my name through writing about G League, you’re going to see more expanded coverage here at the Call-Up. Over the course of time, you’re going to see analysis on notable international and high school talent that are on the come up. That analysis will also consist of coverage of various FIBA or top-flight high school tournaments.
Along with that, continue to expect to see writeups of under-the-radar college players that could be playing for your favorite team’s G League affiliate in the near future.
From here until February 15th, every article posted here is going to be free for you to read. However after that date, you’ll need to sign up for a $6 per month or $60 per year subscription to check out my content giving scouting reports non-G League players and analysis for various tournaments throughout the world of basketball.
Along with that, subscribing will also give you exclusive access to the notes that I take while I watch and scout players at the G League, NCAA, international or high school level. Also, you’ll be invited to monthly live chats and Zoom calls where we get to talk about the prospects that I’m watching and breaking down.
You deciding to make the move to pay to subscribe will have a direct impact behind the coverage that I’ll be looking to bring to the world of basketball. That help will allow me to go to afford to travel to events like NBA Summer League or the G League Showcase.
