Good day folks, first off I want to thank each and every one of you for subscribing to The Call-Up. To celebrate The Call-Up reaching a subscriber mlestone, I want you to send questions my way for a Q&A. As the range of this newsletter is going to be broad, I’d be down to answer anything related to the G League, potential NBA call-up options, the Ignite, international & high school scene, my plans for this newsletter, to anything about me.
In my opinion, I feel like the resources would be better concentrated on a single team as I feel like they still have things to figure out when it comes to figure out. An example of that would be finding the perfect veterans to pair up with their elite high school talent as I feel like that has been one thing that has held them back this year. Also, the uneven scheduling where they play two games in three nights and then take like 10 days off. Don't know how you necessarily fit that when their fit within the G League is odd as they're technically part of it but aren't playing in a conference or fighting for a playoff spot.
Have you gotten much insight into a prospect's thought process when they're choosing between College and the Ignite? If so, what are some of their main considerations? Is it mostly money, or are there also other factors that push guys into either system? Also, glad to see you striking out on your own. Give my regards to Tucker!
First off, Tucker appreciates you for his regards. In response to the question, this is something that might be answered with someone with insight and knowledge on the issue in a piece that will drop very, very soon.
Do you think a second Ignite team would be beneficial or are resources better concentrated on one squad?
